Submissions & shipping
How exactly are my cards sold?+
Every card is run as a single, in a $1-start auction, live on our Whatnot channel @homeoffightbreaks during a dedicated singles show. No reserves, no bundles unless you ask for them — each card goes to the highest bidder in front of the Home of Fight audience, with your submission ID in the listing title so you can follow along.
What kind of cards do you take?+
UFC and MMA trading cards — Topps, Panini, Leaf, Upper Deck, raw or graded. We accept base, inserts, parallels, autos, relics and slabs as long as each card is realistically worth $10 or more. Not sure? Add a note to your submission and we'll tell you.
What happens to cards under the $10 minimum?+
Please only send cards you'd realistically value at $10+. If something slips through we'll message you before the show — we can group a few low-value cards into one lot with your OK, or hold them for return at your cost.
How should I pack my cards?+
Each card in a penny sleeve plus a toploader or one-touch, stacked and wrapped so nothing shifts, inside a bubble mailer or box. Slabs should be individually bubble-wrapped. Put the printed packing slip inside and write your submission ID on the outside of the package.
Do I need magnetic one-touches?+
No. Toploaders are fine. We present every card on camera in our own display holders.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of cards?+
No minimum — send one card if you like. The maximum is 50 cards per submission; if you have more, create a second submission and pack it separately with its own slip.
Can I put more than one submission in one package?+
Yes — separate each submission in its own bag or bundle, label each one with its ID, and list all IDs on the outside of the package.
Do you accept international submissions?+
We do, with the sender covering all shipping, duties and customs. Payouts to international consignors are made by PayPal. Email hofcards@homeoffight.com before shipping so we can flag your package.
What do I do after I ship?+
Add the carrier and tracking number to your submission in the portal. That moves your status to Shipped and lets us watch for the delivery.
Will I see what each card sold for?+
Yes. Once the show is over we record every individual sale against your submission, and you'll see the full breakdown plus the fee math in your portal.
Pricing & fees
Do I pay anything up front?+
No. All fees — commission, per-card fee and the Whatnot platform fee — come out of the sale proceeds. If your cards don't sell, you don't pay.
What are the fees, exactly?+
Two things, both taken from the sale price: our flat 18% commission and Whatnot's standard 11% platform fee. That's it. A card that sells for $100 pays you $71.
Do you still charge the 11% Whatnot fee during Whatnot seller promotions?+
When Whatnot runs a reduced-fee promotion, we pass the reduced platform fee through to you. Otherwise the standard 11% applies.
What if my cards sell for less than I hoped?+
Every card starts at $1 and sells to the highest bidder — that's what keeps the audience bidding and the sell-through at 100%. We don't set reserves. If you have a card you wouldn't be comfortable letting go at market price, keep it at home.
Status & payouts
How do I know where my submission is?+
Sign in and open My Submissions. Each one shows its current stage: Pending → Shipped → Received → Listed → Sold → Paid.
How soon after arrival will my cards sell?+
Typically within 7–14 days of being received, depending on how many submissions are in the queue. You'll see the status change to Listed once your cards are scheduled for a show.
How fast do I get paid?+
Once your submission has fully sold and the show is reconciled, we send your payout by the method on your profile: PayPal, Direct Deposit, Venmo or Zelle. You'll see the status flip to Paid and the amount in your Payouts tab.
Policies
Can I bid on my own cards?+
No. Shill bidding violates Whatnot's rules and ours. Submissions caught doing it are cancelled and returned at the sender's expense.
What if my package arrives damaged?+
We record every package being opened. If it arrives visibly damaged we'll document it on video, message you immediately, and help you file a claim with your carrier.
Can I get my cards back after sending them?+
Before they're listed, yes — email us and we'll return them at your cost. Once a card has been listed on a show it can't be pulled.
Are you responsible if my package is lost or damaged in transit?+
Not until it's in our hands. Insure your shipment for what it's worth and keep your receipt; once we've confirmed receipt, the cards are our responsibility.
What happens if a buyer's payment fails?+
Whatnot handles buyer payment. If a sale falls through, the card is simply re-listed on the next show at no extra cost to you.
